Disturbance in Feedback Signal
How to design the controller to overcome the disturbance in feedback signal?

I developed a PID speed control for step motor. Traditionally, the output of a position sensor is used as the feedback signal and the desired position is set. But the sensor we used has serious noise and the sensor is also very sensitive.

In this case, how to design the controller to overcome the disturbance in feedback signal?

Hello,

If possible you should try to eliminate the noise in the measurement. If that's not possible you can try to apply some filter but this is tricky; too much filter will cause more harm than good. Let us know how you fare
